Q: What sets you apart from other photographers?

A: As a portrait photographer for many years, I know how to pose and guide you to get the most flattering and best possible images of you. My knowledge of psychology and my previous experience working in marketing mean that I know how to make you feel relaxed in front of the camera, while also capturing images that will help you connect with your dream clients.

Q: Will you help me with planning the photo shoot?

A: Absolutely! Before each photo session, we will have a Discovery Call to establish the type of photos that you need for your business. I will then send you questionnaire to help you prepare for the shoot, followed by a Planning Call few weeks before the shoot to talk about and confirm the final details. In addition to this I’m available at any time for questions, and I strongly suggest that we share a Pinterest board for inspiration.

Q: How do I pick a location?

A: During our Discovery Call we will talk about possible locations for your shoot. These will depend on the nature of your business, your brand colours and brand personality, as well as the time of year. We can shoot in your own home or your office (if you have one). We can also shoot in a local cafe, restaurant or a co-working space. Or we might choose an outdoor location.

Q: How do I choose my outfits?

A: My advice is to choose three quite different outfits. One smart, one casual, and one in between. Choose colours and shapes that suit you. In addition, bring along accessories for each outfit, and if possible try to incorporate your brand colours either into your outfits or accessories.

Q: How long does a photoshoot last?

A: Every photoshoot is different. I appreciate that your business is unique and therefore my priority is to capture the right images for your and your brand. I only book one photoshoot per day and I don’t clock watch during my shoots. Having said that, you can expect to spend 1-2 hours on a Re-brand shoot, and 3-4 hours on an Elevate your Brand shoot.

Q: How many images will I receive?

A: With the Re-brand Signature shoot you can expect to receive around 30 high resolution images. With the Elevate your Brand photoshoot you are likely to receive 100 high resolution images. All the photographs will be cropped specifically for your website or social media. While I will retain the copyright of the images, you will have full use of them. The only thing you can’t do is to sell them.

Q: I know I need a personal branding shoot, but I am very nervous. Can you help?

A: Of course. Prior to your photoshoot we will have several planning calls during which we will talk about the photographs we’re going to capture, and how to plan for those. I strongly believe that having a plan in place, can really help you feel less nervous on the day. I will also send you a list of props to bring with you. You’ll be surprised how just holding your favourite mug of hot tea in your hand can help you feel relaxed. And finally, I also send out a document on 5 things you can do to feel relaxed during your photoshoot.

Q: How do I book a photoshoot with you?

A: We start by having a quick chat – either via Zoom, a quick phone call or we can even meet face-to-face and grab a coffee. I firmly believe it’s important we make sure we are a good fit for each other before we embark on this journey. Once we’ve decided to go ahead, we will pencil in a date. I will send you my terms and conditions and I will require a £100 deposit to confirm this date. The outstanding amount is then due one week before your photo session.

Q: Are there any hidden costs?

A: The price you see is the price you pay. The only thing I charge extra is mileage if your photoshoot takes place more than 30 miles outside Chichester.

Q: I’ve received my images, what now?

A: Your journey with me does not stop when I deliver the images to you. I know that sometimes it’s not easy to put yourself out there. After every photoshoot you will receive a 30 social media post prompt list to help you make the most of your images and attract your dream clients.
